My Fellow Poor Soldiers of Christ and Brothers,
Today is Election Day. If tradition holds, we will gather after lunchtime today to hear the nominations of the Knights presented to you for election as leaders of for the 70th Triennium.
If you are in Salt Lake City right now and are a voting member, I humbly ask for your vote to be the next Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Encampment. I am well-prepared to assume this role by my work in the quarries of Freemasonry, as a leader in the United States Air Force, as an innovative leader in the private sector, and as a minister of the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You have read my positions on many topics that affect our Order and viable solutions to address them. I am ready to take off my coat and chapeau, roll up my sleeves, and work with each one of you to grow our many Commanderies and Grand Commanderies, serve the weary pilgrim, help, and assist, and comfort the widow and orphan, bind the wounds of the afflicted, and defend our Christian faith.
I thank you sincerely and pray for your safe travels home at the conclusion of our Triennial Conclave. Lady Debbie and I are pleased to call you our friends. May Almighty God bless you, keep you, and protect you. Amen.
